Fusion team photo at a company retreat

It started with Passion

InnoSoft was founded in 2006 and the first version of Fusion was released in September 2008. The company was started by Brian Foster and Jeff Berg, two tech entrepreneurs with a shared love of competitive sports and software development. From a basement in Waterloo, Ontario, InnoSoft expanded to become the market leader in campus recreation software. Now with a team of over 60, with offices in Waterloo and London, InnoSoft continues to grow faster than ever, through continued innovation and product development.

Q: Favorite part of your job?
A: I don't know what my favourite part is. I just kind of like it all.
Q: Would you rather live in the ocean or on the moon?
A: Moon! Water is spooky.
Q: Best concert you've ever attended?
A: Streetlight Manifesto, my very first concert.
Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Enchiladas or Bún. I do make a mean enchilada though, ask the team!
Q: Who would play you in a movie?
A: Adrian Brody--it's all about the nose.

Q: Favorite part of your job?
A: My favorite part is getting to work with our clients, both current and new, to help them better serve their members & continue to impact the Recreation world.
Q: Would you rather live in the ocean or on the moon?
A: Ocean! I am terrified of sharks and can't really swim, but I could soak in the sun and enjoy the taste of salt water all day.
Q: Best concert you've ever attended?
A: It's between Tim McGraw in Nashville or Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney at Lambeau Field, best football stadium around!
Q: One thing you can't leave home without?
A: Chapstick or my water bottle. I am constantly drinking water, which in turn requires me to reapply chapstick. Can't tell you how many times I have had melted chapsticks in my pockets from just going on a walk outside in the summer. It's slightly concerning!
Q: One goal you’d like to accomplish in your lifetime?
A: Bucket list item is go to a Duke UNC basketball game in Cameron Stadium, but preferably when Coach K is still coaching. With that said, a more realistic goal would be to spend at least 1 month on a mission trip in a 3rd world country.

Q: Favorite part of your job?
A: Being on-site and seeing the campus. I grew up watching the B10, so having the opportunity to go to the different schools and meet the staff is a rewarding experience.
Q: Favorite sport? And what team can we find you cheering for?
A: Basketball--I don't actually have a favorite team. I usually pick one stand-out player during March Madness and follow his NBA career. Little known players when they are in college like Dwayne Wade at Marquette (2003), Stephen Curry at Davidson (2009) or Ja Morant at Murray State (2019).
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: I'd love to go to Australia. The climate is awesome, minus the forest fires. They have some of the most unique animals on the planet (koala bears and kangaroos). I hear there isn't a better place to learn to surf. I'll just need to watch out for the sharks.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: I've always wanted to travel to and experience Australia. The climate is amazing and there are so many types of animals and diverse landscapes. The people are friendly and accommodating and I'm sure there would be some pretty cool food options as well!
Q: Best piece of advice you've ever received?
A: My Dad would always say "This too shall pass". He told me that we will always go through difficult times, but stay positive as they don't last forever. There will always be better times around the corner, just stay positive and you'll get past the tough part.
Q: Who would you swap places with for a day?
A: If it was only for a day I'd do a Freaky Friday swap with Kevin Hart. That guy has it all and can make anyone laugh. I could only swap for a day because I'd never be able to keep up trying to live his life, but it'd be a blast for 1 day!

A: I'm not sure if it was the "best", but my favorite was The Tragically Hip, my brother had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to come, I didn't really listen to them before the concert, but I loved it, and started listening after. In hindsight I am extremely grateful that I got to see them live.
